Energy Lab Meeting Minutes
First Polish Energy Lab was held on 23 October 2012. It gathered 28 participants. Among them there were representatives of local authorities, NGOs and SMEs.
2nd meeting of Polish CoM Dialogue Platform in Krakow
The 2nd meeting of Polish Covenant of Mayors Dialogue Platform was held on 4th October 2012 in Krakow and gathered 15 participants from 10 municipalities: Bielsko-Biala, Czestochowa, Dabrowa Gornicza, Dzierzoniow, Lubin, Niepolomice, Palecznica, Raciechowice, Slupsk and Warsaw.
LOW CARBON TREND SETTERS debated in Krakow
Over 80 participants from 12 countries, including many Covenant Signatories, Covenant Coordinators and Supporters, gathered in Krakow, Poland, for an intensive two-day workshop LOW CARBON TREND SETTERS in 2020 on 3-4 October 2012.
This motivating training event was organized in the framework of the ENERGY FOR MAYORS project (co-financed by Intelligent Energy Europe - IEE) and the APPETITE FOR CLIMATE project (co-financed by the Polish National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management). The aim was to exchange views and share experiences and lessons learned from the implementation of the Covenant of Mayor in different European countries.

The Intelligent Energy Day organized in Miękisz Stary (Laszki municipality) on 26th of September 2012 was joined with annual municipal Harvest Festival and therefore met with great interest of local community. The importance of the event was raised by the presence of the Mayor of Laszki, Adam Grenda, and his coworkers.

Building energy security of cities and municipalities

On 12th and 13th of September 2011 the City of Bielsko-Biała hosted a very interesting conference entitled “Development of innovative energy – building energy security of cities and municipalities”. Its aim was to outline the vision of energy future of our cities, focusing on issues like: reduction of the cities’ impact on climate, improvement of energy security of local communities and improvement of the quality of life of citizens. The conference gathered approx. 300 participants who were vividly interested in supporting sustainable energy development of cities and municipalities. Among them were representatives of national, regional and local authorities, energy companies, universities, NGOs, media and youths.
Workshop "Sustainable energy & Covenant of Mayors in our cities”
A workshop entitled "Sustainable energy & Covenant of Mayors in our cities” was organised by the Association of Municipalities Polish Network „Energie Cités” and European Network Energy Cities in the framework of ManagEnergy initiative. It took place on 6th of May 2011 at the seat of National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Warsaw. The workshop was designed for Polish signatories of the Covenant of Mayors and for the cities who consider joining this ambitious initiative.

The Association of Municipalities Polish Network „Energie Cités” and the Office of the Capital City of Warsaw organised a conference entitled "Covenant of Mayors” – European initiative for climate protection.It took place on 5th of May 2011 andwas held at the Warsaw’s Palace of Culture and Science. The conference gathered nearly 100 participants - representatives of cities and municipalities from all over Poland who are interested in the issue of climate protection and sustainable energy development.
Training seminar for Supporting Structures in Huelva (Spain)
Two representatives of the Association of Municipalities Polish Network “Energie Cités” (PNEC) participated in the 2-day open training seminar for Supporting Structures of the Covenant of Mayors that took place in Huelva (Spain) on 18th and 19th of November 2010. The seminar was organised within the framework of the international project entitled ENERGY FOR MAYORS.
