On the 18th of October in Cracow Seminar on citizen-owned renewable energy projects for Poland and the Carpathian area was organized by REScoop with cooperation with The Association of Municipalities Polish Network „Energie Cités” and The Krakow Institute for Sustainable Energy. More than 70 persons participated in this event.
The seminar agenda was divided into three parts. The first part was devoted to associations and organizations, which are connected with energy efficiency and renewable energy sources: REScoop initiative, Green Institute, European Sustainable Energy Youth Network, The Association of Municipalities Polish Network „Energie Cités” and Covenant of Mayors initiative. In the second part, experience of local communities and governments actions related to renewable energy were presented:
Societá Cooperativa Elettrica Gignod w Aoscie (Italy), Town of Kisielice (Poland), Cooperative Our Energy (Poland), Zelena Energetska Zadruga (Croatia). The last part was connected with financing community power project. Representatives of CEE Bankwatch Network provided information about the potential and availability of UE funds for energy projects in Poland. Participants listened to inspiring presentations and discussed with speakers from different associations and organizations.
