The fourth OwnYourSECAP project partner meeting and the second international peer to peer workshop took place on April 17 and 18, 2024 in Prague, Czech Republic. The first day began with a joint welcome to all participants - both project partners from 11 European organizations, as well as representatives of municipalities from different countries. From Poland, representatives of Bydgoszcz and Sztum (frontrunner municipalities) and Besek and Raciechowice (experienced municipalities) participated in the meeting.

The project meeting was a great opportunity to jointly discuss the progress of the various project activities. Each of the leaders of the work packages presented the tasks completed so far, as well as the next steps that need to be taken in the coming months to make the project a success. Key issues at this point include: working with municipalities on the implementation of SECAP plans and Energy Management Systems, organizing thematic workshops, as well as promotional and dissemination activities. During the time when the partners discussed current and future activities, representatives of the municipalities had the opportunity to discuss together and exchange knowledge and experience on important aspects of sustainable development, i.e. climate protection measures, climate adaptation, or implementation of measures in the sectors of public buildings, transportation and mobility, and blue-green infrastructure. Then municipalities visited the Prague Energy Center, based at the city's wastewater treatment plant. The day ended with a joint city tour and dinner at a local restaurant.

On the second day, there was an international workshop on practical implementation of actions and mainstreaming of climate issues in municipal budgets. All participants had the opportunity to listen to interesting lectures and learn about innovative measures and European good practices, which were presented by representatives of the City of Prague, Tipperary County Council (Ireland) and the City of Bydgoszcz. Mr. Tomasz Bondos from Bydgoszcz told the audience about the city's activities towards climate neutrality and self-sufficiency, and presented tools for automatic collection of energy invoices. The speech was very interesting for the participants. After the lectures, project partners together with local authorities took part in thematic workshops.

The whole event was an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences and make new contacts with local level representatives from other European countries.
