The Association of Municipalities Polish Network "Energie Cités" and the Frank Bold Foundation would like to invite you to a training course entitled "Energy communities for local government units". The training is aimed at employees of city and municipal offices and district offices as well as eco-advisers and eco-counsellors, climate and environment advisors and counsellors interested in the topics of energy, renewable energy sources and energy communities.
The training will be delivered in two parts:
- Part I - 24 October 2023, 10:00 a.m - 12:40 p.m. - online lecture introducing the topic of energy communities for JSTs
- Part II - 26 October 2023, 10:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. - stationary workshop in Krakow (Campanile Hotel, 34 Św. Tomasza St., 31-023 Krakow)
The training is free of charge. To enrol (for Part I and/or Part II), please complete the registration form by 16 October 2023. The number of places for the residential training is limited, with a maximum of two participants from one municipality.
Prior to the training, registered participants will receive the login details for the online platform for the online meeting at the e-mail address provided.

About the trainer:
Agnieszka Stupkiewicz, legal adviser. She is a member of the Frank Bold Foundation team, which deals with energy transition, in particular promoting the development of civic energy communities. She also actively supports the Foundation's environmental and climate change initiatives, including those concerning non-financial reporting and environmental aspects of the implementation of European Funds in Poland. Attorney Stupkiewicz is an expert in energy law, particularly in the area of energy communities. Her areas of specialisation are the regulations governing the production of energy from renewable sources and the creation and operation of energy cooperatives. She is a co-author of a handbook entitled “Prawne aspekty tworzenia społeczności energetycznych”, as well as the author of extensive analyses concerning Polish regulations against the background of European Union law in the field of energy cooperatives, the degree of implementation of the Market and RED Directives into the legal order (PL), the necessity to amend the regulations concerning prosumers and a legal comparative study concerning biogas plants. She has participated in a number of conferences on energy communities (e.g. Międzynarodowy Szczyt Klimatyczny TogetAir 2023, Spółdzielnie energetyczne czarnym koniem transformacji, Forum Miasteczek Polskich.
The Frank Bold Foundation is a team of lawyers and other professionals who work together to stand up for citizens and help them solve legal problems and act for their environment.
