S3UNICA (Smart SpecialiSation UNIvercity Campus) project funded by the Interreg Europe program is slowly coming to the end. A final dissemination event was held on April 20, 2023. Project partners and representatives of the target regions had the opportunity to meet in person in Trieste and at the same time participate online, those who could not join.
The entire event was organized under the theme Regional Policies for Energy Efficient Buildings and aimed to promote the project results and disseminate the outcomes of the Regional Action Plans to a wide range of stakeholders and local decision-makers. The Action Plans are one of the main achievements of the S3UNICA project, so each of the partners had the opportunity to share their activities planned and implemented within its framework.
One of the main points of the meeting was a panel discussion moderated by Mr. Franco Scolari - director of Polo Technologico Alto Adriatico, during which representatives from all regions involved in the project presented the current situation as well as barriers and challenges to improving the energy efficiency of buildings, energy transition and the decarbonization process in European countries. As a representative of Poland, Ms. Jolanta Kubicka from the University of Economics and Humanities in Bielsko-Biała participated in the debate.
After a short break, all partners took part in the last project meeting, which focused on cooperation with the target regions and the upcoming final project report. Then they had the opportunity to learn more about Trieste and discover all the secrets of the city accompanied by a tour guide.
The event ended with a joint dinner, which was a great opportunity to share experiences and discuss about the possibilities of future cooperation in new projects.
