First Polish Energy Lab was held on 23 October 2012. It gathered 28 participants. Among them there were representatives of local authorities, NGOs and SMEs.

 

 

Participants were welcomed by Jasło secretary Mr Paweł Rzońca, who also made some introduction to energy situation in region. Also Mrs Maria Lignar, director of Association of Wisłoka River Basin Municipalities told about energy management in region. Than Mrs Maria Stankiewicz, an executive director of Association of Municipalities Polish Network “Energie Cités” made presentation about local energy policy supported by the Association. Projects and initiatives (like Covenant of Mayors) were discussed. Remaining in this topic, Mr Marcin Łojek, project manager, told about possibilities of sustainable policy development thanks to RENERGY project. Afterwards representatives of municipalities told about energy management actions and problems in their regions - from air pollution an low emission decreasing programmes, up to public lightening. 
City Jasło was introduced as a RENERGY project main beneficiary - a region where all activities will be focus. All participants were invited to follow the project results.

The meeting was also very important from another point of view - PNEC could meet direct persons responsible for energy development in Jasło and set up next steps of actions - like stakeholder list preparation and the self assessment analysis idea.
