EL-Practice - Final conference

The international conference on developing energy literacy among young adults, held on March 21, 2024, marked the culmination of the EL-Practice project. Organised within the project's framework, the event explored the crucial role of adult education in fostering sustainability. Participants engaged with expert presentations, panel discussions, and were introduced to an online course on energy literacy and related topics.

Below you will find a video summarising the main conclusions of the conference. We warmly invite you to watch it!

EL-Practice - National workshops - reports

During the life of the EL-Practice project, many educational meetings took place from which the opinions and insights of the participants could not be forgotten. For this reason, the project partners decided to capture the most interesting ones in the form of a film, which you will find below.

Environmental education, particularly among adults, is pivotal for fostering sustainability. Workshops held in various locations addressed the energy literacy needs of young adults aged 29-39, facilitating discussions among city representatives, eco-advisors, and climate protection organisations. The sessions focused on sustainable energy use, presenting survey findings highlighting gaps in energy knowledge among young adults. These workshops laid the groundwork for the EL-Practice project, aiming to develop an interactive e-course tailored to the needs of young adults, promoting positive energy habits.

EL-Practice - E-course promotion

If you are interested in topics related to the impact of energy on our daily lives, we invite you to take a look at the promotional material of the e-course developed within the EL-Practice project.

The course is provided via an online platform and is available in 5 different languages (Polish, English, German, Greek, Slovenian and Croatian) and consists of 4 micro-sessions:

  1. Introduction to energy literacy
  2. Energy use and green deal objectives
  3. Energy-related investments, incentives and subventions
  4. Positive energy-related behaviours and habits

EL-Practice - A short-term adult training (C2)

We invite you to watch a video prepared as part of the EL-Practice project. This material is a collection of opinions from the participants of the training, which took place from 2-6 October 2023 in Zagreb.

Representatives from partner organisations, alongside young adults from Austria, Croatia, Greece, Poland, and Slovenia, convened to further their knowledge on energy literacy and sustainable development. The training featured interactive sessions, discussions, and practical testing of the e-course under development. Presentations on topics like solar power investments and citizen empowerment in renewable energy sources broadened participants' understanding. These training sessions not only equipped participants with new skills and knowledge but also fostered collaboration and inspired action towards a safe and sustainable future. Through shared experiences and collective learning, partners are poised to create impactful initiatives that promote energy literacy and drive positive behavioural change among young adults.

EL-Practice - A short-term staff training (C1)

We would like to invite you to take a look at a short film prepared as part of the EL-Practice project. This footage presents the key findings from the event, which, as it later turned out, became crucial to the progress of the project by providing all partners with answers to questions related to the platform and the preparation of training content. It fostered collaboration and the acquisition of new skills, making it an excellent development opportunity.

In June 2023, project partners convened in Graz, Austria, for a short-term staff training (C1). This gathering provided a dynamic platform for partners from Poland, Slovenia, Croatia, and Greece to enhance their skills and collaborate on e-course creation. Participants delved into energy literacy topics, exchanged expertise, and laid the groundwork for micro-training development.
