Zdjecie do zaproszeniaThe expert public conference European dimension of local energy planning was held on the 3rd of June in Cracow. It was organized due to VIS NOVA project implemented by Central Europe Programme co- financed by European Regional Development Fund. Interesting and complex agenda gathered representatives of municipalities, universities and research institutions as well as project partners from four European countries: Austria, Hungary, Poland and Germany. Conference was divided into two parts: Perspective of low carbon economy financing and Expertise of Local Energy Efficiency Plans.

Presentations in the first part of the meeting were concerning importance of low carbon economy as well as financing possibilities of energy investments.

  • Jarosław Orliński form Ministry of Infrastructure and Development was talking about Supporting of the energy efficiency from European Founds 2014 – 2020.
  • Małgorzata Skucha from National Fund of Environmental Protection and Water Management presented Perspectives of financing low-carbon economy by NFEP&WM.
  • Aneta Świercz from Energy Research Integration Centre CENERG introduced theme of Energy in Horizon 2020.

Discussion with local authorities took place after three presentations. Most of them have already planned energy efficiency and renewable energy investments and are looking for financing support.

The second part of the meeting was concerning Energy Efficiency Plans of regions which have been participating in VIS NOVA project and analysis of those Plans made by external experts. They emphasized the role of energy planning in energy efficiency policy and paid attention to the most important parts of the plan and common mistakes.
