Zdjęcie tytułoweOn 15 and 16 May 2024, the partners of the project SUPPORT DHC: Supporting a fast implementation of low-grade renewable energy and waste heat for district heating and cooling took, met for the second time to discuss the implementation of ongoing project activities. This time, the meeting was hosted by the German organization AGFW, based in Frankfurt, which is one of the project's frontrunner cities. It was a great opportunity to meet again and discuss the next steps related to, among other things, the involvement of followers cities and the start of a capacity-building program and the organization of thematic workshops. The current situation at each of the frontrunners in the partner countries was also discussed, which is eleven, and opportunities for cooperation with future project stakeholders at the European, national, regional and local levels were identified.

442422628 456837736990683 942347715526859447 nOne of the parts of the meeting was also a workshop led by representatives of the Mainova CHP plant in Frankfurt, who presented plans for the transformation of their facility. This enabled knowledge exchange between the project partners and experts from the local CHP plant. The entire meeting concluded with a study tour of the CHP plant and the H2 coal replacement plant construction site.

The main objective of the SUPPORT DHC project is to support them in these activities by developing transformation plans in particular concrete investment plans for the fast implementation of renewable energy and waste heat in the DHC sector in six European countries.
