Tools: - Common Protocol containing technical guidelines for savings measurement and verification
The document, developed within the TOGETHER project, includes a Common Protocol containing technical guidelines for savings measurement and verification to be used in energy-saving pilot actions, functional to the Reinvestment Plan. The idea is to help partners with the procedure, methodology or protocol on how to collect, analyse the data and consequently present a solution for savings calculation. Estimating the energy impacts from energy efficiency and renewable energy policies and programs is a critical evaluation step that enables calculation of other benefits, such as reductions in greenhouse gases, air pollutants, and electricity demand. How this is done depends on whether the effort being evaluated aims to increase clean energy supply or reduce energy demand (i.e. energy efficiency).

- Step-by-step procedures’ handbook for Energy Management System in schools buildings
The document, developed within the TOGETHER project, provides an overview of the Energy Management System (EnMS) that could be implemented in a school building. It addresses all key steps and elements of the process, including definition of energy policy, data gathering and analysing, suggesting and implementing corrective measures and user inclusion. The publication is targeted at all school users concerned with energy conservation and interested in improving energy efficiency of their building.It is recommended to use it along with other TOGETHER tools for more optimal implementation of the EnMS in a school.It needs to be remembered that energy efficiency is a key point in EU energy policies and the building sector is one of the main energy consumers. The shools are special players in this context, since, in addition to the practical benefit of consumption reduction obtained from the refurbishment of school buildings, there is the opportunity to involve users (teachers, students, janitors and parents) in raising energy awareness and provoking energy efficient behavours.

The document, developed within the TOGETHER project, provides an overview of the Energy Management System (EnMS) that could be implemented in institutional buildings. It addresses all key steps and elements of the process, including definition of energy policy, data gathering and analysing, suggesting and implementing corrective measures and user inclusion. The publication is targeted at all institutional building users concerned with energy conservation and interested in improving energy efficiency of their building.It is recommended to use it along with other TOGETHER tools for more optimal implementation of the EnMS in a building.It needs to be remembered that energy efficiency is a key point in EU energy policies and the building sector is one of the main energy consumers. Institutional buildings are special players in this context, since there is an opportunity to involve users (mostly permanent staff) in generating savings and increase their awareness of the importance of energy efficiency (EE).

The publication is targeted at all public building users concerned with energy conservation and interested in improving energy efficiency of their building.It is recommended to use it along with other TOGETHER tools for more optimal implementation of the EnMS in a building.It needs to be remembered that energy efficiency is a key point in EU energy policies and the building sector is one of the main energy consumers. In buildings visited by the public the involvement of users (administrative, cleaning and maintenance staff, visitors) and raising their energy awareness are particularly challenging but the potential is worth reaching for.
